Concept colours are original PaintColorKE digital ideas, not manufacturer shades. Confirm a physical sample before painting.
Try a living room colour study ↗︎
A useful living room palette starts with the room or building you already have—not just an attractive swatch.
Begin with the fixed finishes
Start with your sofa, rug and flooring. Keep those fixed colours in view while you test the walls. Put your shortlist beside those materials before choosing a paint brand or ordering a large quantity.
Test a clear colour hierarchy
Try a quieter colour on the largest wall and a stronger colour on the wall you want to notice first. Use one colour as the main background, another for a secondary surface and a more deliberate accent where it adds something. There is no mandatory ratio: compare alternatives in the same scene.
Make two different versions
Save one version with light walls and another with a deeper main colour. Compare the ceiling, trims and adjacent surfaces too. Keep notes on the colours you selected and do not confuse a concept HEX value with an official paint shade code.
Confirm before painting
Try physical samples on the actual surface and view them under the light you normally use. Confirm the substrate preparation, primer, finish and coverage in the selected product’s technical information. Online colour, texture and coat previews are illustrative only.
