About these effects

Shader backgrounds

Flowing noise, aurora and wave fields drawn by your graphics card (WebGL) from your colours. The same maths runs on the processor when WebGL is missing, so a recipe always gives the same picture. Animation stays paused for visitors who ask for reduced motion, and the copied snippet does the same.

Dither and duotone

Dithering redraws a photo with only your palette’s colours (error diffusion or ordered patterns). Duotone maps a photo’s light and dark to two colours; the SVG filter you can copy uses exactly the same maths as the PNG.

Perspective grid

A true one-point perspective floor grid: rows are spaced by distance, columns meet at the vanishing point. The SVG keeps every line editable.

Glass and light

A frosted-glass panel and a soft light over your palette, a room render or a saved gradient, with the CSS to copy. The readability figure is approximate: it uses the average colour behind the panel.
