SVG recolour

Recolour an SVG illustration or icon with your palette. Every fill, stroke and gradient stop is listed; map each one to a palette colour and download the result.

Drop an SVG file here or

Up to 1 MB. Read in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Files with scripts, event handlers, links, embedded objects or external references are refused.

How SVG recolour works

Safe by default

The file is checked before anything is shown. Scripts, event handlers, foreignObject, links, animation, embedded images and references to other files are refused, and the whole file is rejected. Editor data (for example from Inkscape or Illustrator) is removed.

Never added to the page

Your SVG is only ever shown as an image, never inserted into this page’s markup, so nothing in it can run.

What changes

Only colour values: fills, strokes, gradient stops and colours in style sheets. Shapes, gradients, opacity and transparency stay as they were.

Two ways to map

By lightness keeps light and dark areas in the same order. Nearest colours picks the closest palette colour for each original (CIEDE2000). You can change any row by hand.
